Additionally, they plan to operate a robot exhibition hall where autonomous manufacturing processes can be experienced.

Accordingly, Gyeongsangbuk-do expects that companies will be able to predict the performance of applying robot technology and derive optimal processes before investing in expensive robot equipment.

In particular, significant assistance is anticipated for the press and welding sectors, which face severe labor shortages due to high-risk processes.

With the addition of a robot hub for Gyeongsan's autonomous automotive parts manufacturing process this year—following last year's project for semiconductor manufacturing and logistics processes in Gumi and food robots in Pohang—Gyeongsangbuk-do is positioned to accelerate the AX (AI transformation) of the regional manufacturing industry.

Yang Geum-hee, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, "We will make Gyeongbuk a hub for the robotics industry by expanding the adoption of advanced robots across key regional industries."
