According to Yonhap News,
Catholic University of Daegu said on June 15th that it attracted researchers and facilities of Effector Cell Institute(ECI), Japanese biotechnological company, to its university campus.
Under a joint research agreement on the development of a new drug, researchers and professors are going to develop anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory drugs together.
ECI was founded in 1999 by professor Kanegesaki from the University of Tokyo. The company is developing treatment of cancer, diabetes, arthritis and dementia.
University official said "By cooperating with ECI, our research capability is projected to increase dramatically."
