According to Yonhap News,

Daegu City said that Korean Air will open a direct flight between Daegu and Hong Kong from July 22 to August 22 to promote the use of Daegu International Airport and to provide convenience to Daegu citizens and tourists.

The direct flight from Daegu will depart from 9:30 p.m. on every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and flight from Hong Kong will depart from 2: 30 a.m. on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

If the flight is well received, it will be a regular flight from winter season.

An official from Daegu city said that the direct flight is designed to attract tourists with 2011 Daegu IAAF World Championship ahead.
