Daegu city seeks to promote investment in connection with 2011 Daegu IAAF World Championships

Daegu city said on August 22 that it will invite CEOs of investment companies during the IAAF World Championship to present its investment environment and industrial complexes. It will also hold an export fair, inviting 78 buyers from 10 countries.

TaeguTech will hold a seminar for 30 executives of overseas client companies. Participants will visit Daegu industrial complex and businesses, and watch the games of World championships and Gyeongju World Culture Expo.

In cooperation with the Korea Association of Robot Industry, the city will launch an investment promotion campaign with the aim of transforming Daegu into a hub of the robot industry.

In addition, the city will also introduce mobile communications, software, network technology, security solution of mobile convergence companies to executives of India's mobile communications companies, and China's IT service and security system companies.

An official from the Daegu city said that local companies that participate in export fairs will be provided with buyer lists and interpretation services.
