According to Yonhap News,
Daegu and Gyeongbuk is highly likely to be chosen as a host city of 2015 World Water Forum.
The World Water Forum is an international event, which is being held every three years to tackle global water issues.
Kim Kwon-Yong, governor of Gyeongbuk Province, said that Daegu and Gyeongbuk is a strong candidate, saying that Daegu and Gyeongbuk is better than Glasgow of Scotland, another candidate city, in terms of evaluation of inspectors, proposals and other efforts.
World Water Council will decide a host city on November 14 and 15 in Rome, Italy.
Governor Kim said that it is projected that global water market will amount to KRW 1,600 trillion by 2015 with the expansion of the water industry.
