According to Yonhap News,
Kim Moon-soo, governor of Gyeonggi province, and Kim Bum-il, mayor of Daegu city, signed an agreement to expand the textile industry to overseas market.
The two regions agreed to cooperate for the development of the textile industry by sharing information on overseas textile market and developing sports clothes.
They plan to open and operate marketing centers in Shanghai and Los Angeles in 2013, and in Europe in 2014.
Gyeonggi Small Business Center and Korea Textile Center also signed an agreement to share overseas facilities including Manhattan marketing center, which is to open in March next year.
Korea High-tech Textile Research Institute and Korea Research Institute for Fashion Industry also agreed to share their experties, talents, and equipment for the development of cutting-edge sports textile.
