Daegu Mayor to Visit Kazakhstan

According to Yonhap News,

Kim Bum-il, mayor of Daegu city, plans to visit a sister city Almaty in Kazakhstan to strengthen exchanges between the two cities in the economy, healthcare, and cultural sectors.

Daegu city said that 95 people composed of art troupe and representatives of Daegu city will visit Almaty for five days from Oct. 18 to 23.

Mayor Kim will discuss ways to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two cities with mayor of Almaty.

Then, he will visit Almaty hospital to discuss ways to cooperate in the healthcare sector. He will also participate in the performance marking the year of Daegu city and Korea, and welcome reception hosted by Almaty mayor.

Daegu city plans to promote economic exchanges by dispatching local companies to Almaty.

Mayor Kim said that he will have a full discussion on the ways to strengthen cooperation between the two cities.
