The International academic conference for IRB will open in Daegu on December 21

This conference will the 11th academic gathering of the Asia-Pacific Institutional Review Board of Strategic Initiative for Developing the Capacity of Ethical Review (SIDCER).
The conference will be attended by Dr. Vichai Chokevivat, Chairman of WHO SIDCER; Dr. Juntra Karbwang, the overall coordinator; Dr. Kenji Hirayama, Chairman of the Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and Western Pacific Region (FERCAP) of the Asia-Pacific Institutional Review Board.
In attendance at the event will be distinguished scholars, including Stephen Rosenfeld, the former Chairman of the WIRB(Western IRB) in the U.S.; Guna Danielson from the European Medical Association; and Beat Widler from the Swiss Food and Drug Administration, all of whom will discuss the three themes of innovation, integration, and ethics.
Lee Sang-gil, Chief of the High-Tech General Medical Complex Task Force, said, “This international conference is particularly meaningful in that it will help the city to internationalize and industrialize its studies on the establishment of a High-Tech General Medical Complex early on, and to establish a global human network.”
