DAEGU < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,             

Daegu City will be aggressively engaged in investment promotion in partnership with Daegu Technopark (TP), a corporate research institute.  

Daegu said on Jan. 17 that it will open Daegu Investment Promotion Center on Jan. 18 at the TP in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, to concentrate its efforts on achieving its 2014 goal of recording 6 trillion KRW in investment promotion.

The investment promotion center on the 4th floor will be managed under the direct management of the TP director and consists of four members including the director.

So far, investment promotion was assigned to KOTRA and private professional consulting firms, which led to the leakage of information and difficulty in searching for potential investors and systematic management. These hardships have caused Daegu to open the center.  

Most of all, the joint investment promotion strategy utilizing expertise of corporate support research institutes is needed to attract a new growth industry where domestic and overseas conglomerates made investment in.

The center is planning to establish a close social networking with human resources in conglomerates to get information in advance, utilizing regional core businesses including world-class 300 enterprises and star companies in close relationship with conglomerates.

In addition, it is making utmost efforts to achieve its goal of recording 6 trillion KRW in investment, maintaining good relationship with potential investors while establishing cooperative networking with the center, Daegu TP and universities.

Kim Beom-il, Daegu Mayor said that "The establishment of the investment promotion center focuses on vitalizing the regional economy based on our top priority of investment promotion," adding that "We will achieve the goal of recording 6 trillion KRW in investment with our systematic and scientific strategy and activities."
