Northern Gyeongsang Province builds photovoltaic power generation facilities near Nakdong River

Northern Gyeongsang Province will establish photovoltaic power generation facilities around the Nakdong River and on the residual land owned by public institutions.

According to northern Gyeongsang Province, Kim Gwan-yong, Governor of northern Gyeongsang Province, Jang Do-su, CEO of Korea South East Power and Choi Jin-seok, CEO of STX Solar, participated in the signing ceremony on Feb. 2, for development and supply of renewable energy.

Based on the agreement, northern Gyeongsang Province will establish photovoltaic power generation facilities on the land belonging to public institutions near Nakdong River, unused roads and slopes of roads, in partnership with the companies.

The province also plans to exchange renewable energy-related information and technology and attract energy companies to the province.

Governor Kim emphasized, "We concentrate our energy on cultivating green energy as our future growth engine and we expect that the agreement could attract renewable energy and other companies to our province."
