Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ) Authority organized an investment seminar at the Grand Ambassador Hotel in Seoul today with 50 CEOs of Canadian companies that advance into Korea attending.
The DGFEZ asked about the 50 participants to aggressively invest in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, introducing their business-friendly environment at the seminar co-hosted with the Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The DGFEZ made a presentation about the future direction of its four strategic businesses including IT convergence, cutting-edge parts and components, green energy and knowledge-based service and its abundant resources of industrial infrastructures and talents.
The authority will send newsletters to Canadian companies in Korea on a regular basis and participate in various seminars hosted by the Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to enhance networks with them.
Plus, it also plans to visit Canada this year to draw investment from Canada's aviation companies.
"We will establish networks with Canadian companies in our four strategic sectors and provide customized services to attract investment from potential Canadian companies," said Park Gi-won, a chief of investment attraction team at the DGFEZ.
