According to Yonhap News,
Gyeonggi Province will open a textile marketing center in New York in collaboration with Daegu City.
Two employees will stay in the center to provide consulting services and verify buyers' financial capability and credit history.
Gyeonggi already opened a textile marketing center in LA last April.
The LA center has so far won 99 export contracts worth $1.44 million.
Gyeonggi and Daegu signed a cooperative agreement last October to work together to advance into the overseas textile market.
"Following the opening of the center in LA, the New York center will help textile companies in our province make roads into the U.S. market by decreasing distribution costs through direct transactions between companies." said an official at Gyeonggi Specialized Industry Department.
