Daegu will see hundreds of Bangladeshi and Chinese medical tourists in June and July.
About 200 Bangladeshi people who will visit Busan to participate in Lions Clubs International Convention Busan will come to Daegu to experience its medical tourism.
Fifty Chinese members of the Lions Clubs will also stay in Daegu for six days to vist Dongseongro and shooting ranges and experience Donghwa Temple stay and Korean-style sauna.
In early July, 20 members of Cheongsan (Chinese dress) Association will visit Daegu to have check-ups and dermatological procedures.
Daegu is also encouraging 200 public officials of Ningbo City, China to come to Daegu to experience its medical tourism in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of establishing friendly relationship between the two cities.
"Our relentless efforts to attract medical tourists from abroad seem to bear fruit. We will strengthen marketing of our medical tourism focusing on hair transplant and oriental medical tourism," said Hong Seok-jun, a Daegu official in charge of medical tourism.
