According to Yonhap News,
Daegu will send a trade delegation to China and Japan to help Daegu-based small-and-medium enterprises (SME) advance into the overseas market in collaboration with Small & Medium Business Corporation.
The city plans to select 10 SMEs producing high-potential products to dispatch them to Shanghai, Guangzhou and Wuhan in China for a week and Tokyo and Osaka in Japan for six days in September.
If selected, companies are eligible to be provided information on the local markets and buyers and consulting and interpretation services.
"Given that China and Japan are important trade partners for Korea, We should keep track of their market conditions in preparation for Korea-China and Korea-Japan FTAs under negotiation. We will launch customized marketing taking their unique market environments into consideration," said Kim Yeon-chang, in charge of economic affairs of Daegu City Council.
