According to Yonhap News,
Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) to work together for the development of the robotic industry emerging as the next-generation growth engine.
Under the MOU, both sides agreed to cooperate in building a robot industrial cluster and necessary infrastructures, enhancing research capacity and nurturing human resources.
"The MOU holds significance in that we forged a cooperative network with KIRIA to serve as a control tower of Korea's robotic industry," said Sin Seong-sheol, President of DGIST.
