According to Yonhap News,
Ubiquitous Bio Medical Equipment (U-BioMed), a Daegu-based start-up, signed a USD 1.95 million-export contracts in mid-October with a Chinese cosmetics company at Cosmoprof Hong Kong, one of the global top three cosmetics exhibitions.
Its major product is Tok-Tok, micro-needles that offer pain-free injections of medicine on skin or scalp.
The company also won several certificates including ISO 13485 and CE, which contributes to enhancing the credibility of its products in the global market.
Other participating companies including Micro-nx, SAESHIN Precision and MEDI WAY KOREA also concluded export contracts worth USD 100,000, USD 80,000 and USD 2,000 with local Chinese companies.
"Many Chinese companies were impressed by our high-end technology," said a member of Daegu Technopark. "The growing popularity of Korean culture is another encouraging factor to boost exports of Korean products."
