According to Yonhap News,
Preview in Daegu (PID), Korea's largest international textile fair, will be held in Daegu from March 6 to 8 with about 20,000 buyers and visitors from 320 companies home and abroad to attend.
This year's event is especially expected to attract major textile companies with the expansion of the exhibition hall, strengthening competitiveness of Korean textile products and enhancing business matching services for buyers.
In addition, prompted by other external factors, including the effectuation of the Korea-U.S. and Korea-EU free trade agreements, the U.S. economy showing signs of recovery and the Chinese government's economic stimulus packages, many buyers are showing strong interests in the Korean textile industry, which is expected to lead to active participation from famous apparel brands and manufacturers.
The organizing committee of the PID will build a textile material booth to offer exclusive business matching services for foreign buyers and operate a promotion booth for patent materials.
The committee selected "Re-Set" the theme of the fair to demonstrate its move moving towards a new future.
