The INNOPOLIS Foundation will invest KRW 10 billion in developing INNOPOLIS Daegu this year. It will hold a briefing session at the Daegu Technopark on April 17.

The foundation has increased its investment by KRW 3 billion to KRW 10 billion to improve sales, transfer technology, and revitalize research centers. To achieve its goal, it will heavily focus on four special areas, i.e., smart IT convergence, medical equipment and material convergence, green energy convergence, and mechatronics convergence. It also plans to establish a special fund district by 2014 in cooperation with local government bodies, with an investment of KRW 125 billion, to improve technology financing conditions.

“We will do our best to transform INNOPOLIS Daegu into an IT-based convergence creative cluster,” said a Daegu official.
