The Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (DGFEZA) announced yesterday that KNT, the first foreign-invested company in the Daegu Technopolis, is gaining momentum.

The Nakamura-tome Precision Industry, a world’s leading precision device manufacturer, invested in KNT. KNT built its plant on a 19,000 m2 site with an investment of KRW 22 billion which began operation in April.

KNT produced the first multi-functional ultra-precision machine in June, which is displayed in the Japan headquarters. It completed production of the second machine, and it will be exhibited at the EMO Hanover 2013.

KNT plans to export most machines produced in Korea to Europe, Japan, the United States and China.

As KNT decided to use Korean parts and materials for producing its products, it will contribute to the regional economy, including new jobs and increase sales for Korea partners.
