Daegu Attracts Investment from German Companies

Daegu city held an investment information session for German companies in Korea yesterday.

Daegu signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) which communicates with German companies, and introduced regional investment environment, including the Daegu National Industrial Complex, to about 100 CEOs of German companies in Korea.

According to the MOU, KGCCI will cooperate for potential German investors to invest in Daegu, and Daegu will support German companies’ visits and promotion.

Currently there are about 1,000 German companies in Korea and their investment in Korea is continuously growing.

Daegu mayor Kim Bum-il noted that the MOU will contribute to build a network with German companies, adding that the city will hold aggressive marketing activities in German cities in the second half of the year.
