The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MARFA) announced yesterday that the Korea International Livestock Expo 2013 (KISTOCK 2013) will be held from September 25 to September 28 in Daegu.

Under the theme of “Healthy Livestock Industry, Life Industry for Tomorrow,” about 240 Korean and foreign livestock companies will participate in the expo to hold about 850 booths.

Livestock industry-related equipment and machinery, assorted feed, additives and medicine for animals will be on display in indoor halls and outdoor demonstration sites. In a special hall on new technologies in the livestock industry, success cases of research and development and their commercialization will be exhibited.

Various events including horse riding and a walk to a farm will also be offered at the event.

A MAFRA official noted that this year’s event aims to not only enable industry insiders to share information but also to attract interest from general public.
