Dalsung County’s multicultural family support center, which opened in 2009, was recognized as an outstanding agency in an evaluation of Korea’s multicultural family support centers in 2012.
It was also recognized as an outstanding agency for case management to receive funds for its mentoring projects next year.
Case management project refers to providing customized services for multicultural families considering their chracteristics to help their easy settlement in the Korean society.
Dalsung County’s center also provides one-on-one trainings for the families who have difficulties accessing the programs due to location and transportation.
About 70 training programs are currently provided, including Korean, child raising, employment and start-ups.
