(DAEGU=NEWSIS) Daegu City will host a seminar for corporations in the metropolitan area, in order to promote investment in the ‘Water Industry Cluster’ of the city’s National Industrial Park.

The seminar will be held June 11 at El Tower Seoul, and the 200 participants will have discussions on ways to develop water industry, together with forming a water industry cluster.

It will start with a special presentation on plans to invite corporate investors into the National Industrial Park and induce their investment in water industry, followed by a presentation by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. on trends of water industry & cluster utilization.

The Ministry of Environment will then deliver a presentation on the government’s water industry policy and the water industry cluster. Lotte Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. and Water Resources Technology Co., Ltd. will introduce cases of sewage reuse, cluster utilization, and overseas water supply facilities. With Prof. Yoon Ju-whan as the chair, measures to develop water industry will be discussed.

This seminar will serve as a platform to promote Daegu National Industrial Park and water industry cluster, as well as our city’s willingness to nurture water industry to corporations in the metropolitan area,” said Kim Yeon-chang, Daegu City deputy mayor for economic affairs.
