DAEGU < invest Korea

(DAEGU=Yonhap News)Daegu announced on July 17 that the City has selected 36 tenants for the Daegu National Industrial Park.

The Daegu National Industrial Park is situated at the center of the Nakdong River belt that connects Seongseo Industrial Complex, 1st Dalseong Industrial Complex, Daegu Technopolis and 2nd Dalseong Industrial Complex with the neighboring industrial cities including Gumi, Pohang and Changwon.

The City has thoroughly evaluated the financial structure, technologies, growth potential, investment and job creation of the companies that wished to move into the Park. As the first national industrial complex in Daegu, the City has selected six companies that specialize in advanced machineries and 30 future-oriented car manufacturers.

More than 25 companies have sales more than KRW 10 billion and three companies have sales more than KRW 100 billion.

The City expects the companies will develop the regional industries and create new jobs once they begin their businesses in the Park.

The government has designated 8,548,000 ㎡ of land in Dalseong-gun as a national industrial complex and decided the Korea Land & Housing Corporation and Daegu Urban Development Corporation as the project developers.

The City will invest KRW 1.7572 trillion by 2018 to develop the National Industrial Park. The first stage will be completed by 2016 and the second stage will begin when 60 percent of the land has been sold in the first stage.
