Start-up Teams Move to Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation C-Lab

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) announced December 22 that 18 start-up teams have moved to the C-Lab (creative lab) in the Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation.

The 18 teams have been selected from the first C-Lab Venture Contest that was held from November 10 to December 1.

They will take the C-Lab accelerator program for six months to receive mentoring and support on producing and testing prototypes.

To begin with, each team will receive KRW 20 million of support fund and an additional KRW 280 million following the results of mentoring and KRW 200 million following the results of the C-Lab graduation showcase.

"I hope the teams in C-Lab, the leading project of Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, will become an exemplary model for entering the global market to other regional innovation centers," said Lee Suk-joon, the first vice minister of MSIP.
