According to Yonhap News,

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu City and North Gyeongsang Province have established 2016 Visit Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province Year to co-promote tourism policies to attract Chinese tourists.

Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province will carry out PR and marketing activities with tourism resources of Daegu and historical and traditional tourism resources of North Gyeongsang Province.

At the Korea-China Summit in July in 2014, the two leaders have designated Korea-China Mutual Visit Year 2014-2015.

The 2015 will be a year to prepare for the 2016 Visit Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province Year and the regions will be promoted through Chinese media, Korean popular TV programs and overseas students.

Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province will increase the number of tourism EXPOs, PR presentations and sales of travel agencies.

The province will develop various tourism contents that will be introduced via Chinese social media. It will also maximize Chinese students to run press corps and attract Chinese companies.

The city will nurture tourism guides and develop special tourism products that are closely related to large-scale festivals and sports events.
