(DAEGU=NEWSIS) Daegu City announced July 9 that it will hold the 9th International Health Forum & Expo 2015, October 12-16.

The event will cover industries including healthcare, beauty and longevity, some of the issues that are widely raised around the world. It will also play a huge role in developing healthcare and medical industry.

Around 1,500 people will participate in the forum and 200 exhibition booths will be installed to introduce the regional healthcare industry.

Chinese participants will account for more than 90 percent of the total forum participants. In this regard, the event will contribute greatly to attracting Chinese tourists to Daegu.

"Daegu has attracted an important event. We are negotiating with the Chinese party to hold the regularly, and not just a one-off," said a city official.
