(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan City held a launch ceremony of the 3D high-tech research center on February 26 at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology. The center will manufacture green vehicle parts with 3D printing or develop technology to create organs tailored to patients.
The center will install 3D printing equipment and provide services from designing ideas, developing technologies, producing prototypes, commercializing the products to testing and obtaining certification.
The city signed memorandums of understanding with two 3D printing companies, Sentrol and CA Tech, to relocate their headquarters to Ulsan from Seoul and Busan, respectively.
A symposium was followed after the ceremony where experts exchanged their opinions on the 3D printing high-tech applied technology.
