According to Yonhap News,
(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan City will begin construction of a petrochemical process technology education center in the second half of 2016 to nurture skilled workers in the petrochemical industry. The center will be completed in April, 2019.
The city will invest KRW 25.2 billion (national & city expenses and private capital) to build the center on 9,632㎡ of land at the Ulsan techno general industrial complex.
The center will develop a workforce that will handle the operation and maintenance of the petrochemical industry and improve the job performance of existing workers. The center aims to nurture 300 skilled workers and enhance the job performance of 1,000 workers annually.
Ulsan City signed an agreement with 19 companies, Korea Polytechnics and the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy on March 15 for the establishment of the center.
