(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan Mayor Kim Gi-hyeon signed an MOU and agreed to forge a friendship with Chennai City of India on his visit to Southeast Asia.
Two cities agreed to respect each other's cultures and traditions, and beef up cooperation in various fields including administrative affairs, economy, environment, culture, tourism, sports, city planning, transportation, science and technology.
Ulsan and Chennai city also pledged to encourage mutual visits of public officers and citizens and support economic and business activities as two 'industrial cities.'
With the newly forged relationship, Ulsan has signed friendship agreements with 19 cities in 14 countries.
