According to Yonhap News,
(ULSAN=Yonhap News) The Ulsan Science and Technology Promotion Center opened in Innovation City located in Jung-gu, Ulsan on October 18, 2016. The center will serve as a hub of research and development activities through collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutes.
Funded by the central government and the city, the center was built on the land of 5,517 square meters with a total investment of KRW 14.97 billion.
The Ulsan Institute for Regional Program Evaluation and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute Ulsan Branch recently moved into the center.
The city aims to further strengthen its infrastructure for science technology by attracting more research institutes.
The opening ceremony, held by Ulsan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, will be attended by 150 guest including Ulsan Mayor Kim Gi-hyeon, local lawmakers, and heads of local organizations and agencies.
