Ulsan Mayor Visits US to Map out Plans for the 4th Industrial Revolution

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan City Mayor Kim Ki-hyun will go on a tour to the United States from December 5 to 10. His itinerary includes a visit to CES 2017, a global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow that takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Through the visit, he will identify the latest trends in global ICT technology and changes in the business environment to come up with future plans in preparation for the fourth industrial revolution.

On the first day of the visit, he is scheduled to visit the overseas IT support center of KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) and KIC Silicon Valley, the global innovation center for Korean startups and SMEs, in San Francisco to discuss export consultation cases and measures to support young entrepreneurs expanding business overseas.

He also plans to visit UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) Global Innovation Campus launched at UC Berkeley as well as Plug & Play Tech Center, an accelerator that specializes in growing tech startups.
