According to Yonhap News,
(ULSAN=Yonhap News) On February 8, Ulsan Port Authority (UPA) held a ceremony for the completion of installation of a solar power generating facility at Wharf no. 3 of the Ulsan Main Port.
In November 2017, UPA signed MoUs for the solar power generating project with Dongbu Express and Yeongnam Energy Service, and completed installation of the facility in three months.
This 1.1-megawatt solar power generating facility was installed on top of a warehouse of an area of 13,410 square meters.
The facility will produce enough electricity for 400 households, UPA explained.
"The new solar power generating project is meaningful as it is the first of its kind to be funded with private investment," a UPA source noted, adding, "the port authority will do its best to actively supply new and renewable energy."
