(ULSAN=Yonhap News) On December 21, Ulsan City announced that it had finished installation of free Wi-Fi service in 24 major sightseeing spots and started provinding the service to public.
Selected as the winner of "2018 Contest for Establishment of Free Wi-Fi Zone in Tourism
Spots," the city signed a business agreement with Korea Tourism Organization and KT to work
on the project.
24 local sightseeing spots have acquired free Wi-Fi, which makes up a total of 81 sightseeing
spots in Ulsan with free Wi-Fi service.
The total project fee is KRW 232 million, including the government fund of KRW 28 million, the
city and district governments' investment of KRW 112 million, and KT's investment of 92
million.
Tourists and people can access the Internet free of charge, regardless of the
telecommunications company they use.
Clicking the "KOREA FREE WIFI 2.4G" or "KOREA FREE WIFI 5G" Wi-Fi network on a smartphone
or tablet PC will give a free Wi-Fi.
