According to Yonhap News,

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) On June 17, Ulsan announced that it would run a "export contract consulting support project" to help SMEs struggling in the process of export contract signing.

SMEs face challenges when they begin exporting, or writing a contract document for products requiring technical agreement.

In this regard, the city, jointly with Ulsan office of KITA, is to provide legal consultation by international lawyers specialized in export contract to approximately 10 enterprises.

The areas of support are divided into: writing an export contract on behalf of SMEs; and review on export contract.

In case of writing an export contract, a law firm will have a prior meeting with the company and then support writing of standard contract based on export items, payment method, and transportation method.

In case of review on export contract, consulting will be provided on contracts in negotiation, signed, or for new export items, to find out unfavorable clauses and suggest corrective measures.

The city expects that SMEs would avoid damages from trade while reducing risks associated with exports.

For more details, check out the city's trade support system or KITA's Ulsan office website.
