On July 30, the Ulsan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it establishes a council to promote Ulsan maritime courism in which local governments and related organizations participate.
The Council will be participated by about 10 organizations including Ulsan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation (KOEM), Ulsan Branch of Sea Explorers of Korea, and Wale Culture Foundation, among others.
It will set the vision for promotion of maritime tourism, discover specific projects for maritime tourism promotion, share information among participating bodies, discuss how to raise fund for effectiveness of policy, and pursue exchanges and cooperation with relevant councils in other regions.
The launching ceremony will be held in August, followed by the first regular meeting in October.
