On August 30, Buk-gu, Ulsan announced that it set up an investment promotion committee to attract domestic companies in earnest.
Buk-gu held the first meeting of the committee, briefing a basic plan to attract investment and its composition.
The committee is consisted of 13 investment experts from relevant organizations, groups and companies, with a 2-year term. The chair of the committee is the mayor of Buk-gu.
It will review and advise on selection of investment attraction subsidy recipients, and matters of important policies and promoting investment from outstanding companies.
Buk-gu established a basic plan in April to boost activities to attract investment, and decided to provide subsidies to companies relocating to or setting up business in Buk-gu.
The mayor of Buk-gu said, "It is critical to attract competitive companies in future new industries in creating jobs," adding that "We will do our best in providing subsidy and other administrative support to companies investing in Buk-gu."
