The city of Ulsan opened a kickoff meeting on Nov. 22 to announce a comprehensive plan that outlines the mid-long term development of MICE industry. The meeting, supposed to be held to reflect specialist feedback prior to the final approval of the draft, invited over 20 city officials.
Attendees shared an internal/ external business environment analysis that reports the current status and matters to be handled, visions and business strategies, challenges and major tasks to pay attention to.
Ulsan will complete the commissioned project which started last July by the end of this year, saying they’ll push for the ways to advance MICE business right after having an assessment report for the draft. MICE is an acronym that stands for Meeting, Incentives, Convention and Exhibition.
Per capita consumption level of each visitor for an event is way higher than that of tourism industry. And employment inducement and urban PR /marketing effect also turned out to be very high. The benefit from the industry started to grab an attention these days throughout the world.
