According to Yonhap News,
Ulsan Technopark revealed its audacious goal to make a KRW 120.5 billion investment in infrastructure which will serve as an incubator taking full care of emerging businesses to help them grow into innovative tech giants. The volume is estimated to be the largest ever since its inauguration in 2003.
The city will focus primarily on stressing the role as an innovation hub, laying foundation for emerging businesses, enhancing SME’s R&D capacity and fostering small businesses to be a tech-powerhouse.
First of all, Ulsan city increased the budget size to help establish an innovation cluster for hydro-business and a regulation free zone for hydro-green mobility. EV-battery recycling, inspection system to test 3D printing materials to be commercially available, a testing ground for future vehicles and smart factories are named on the list.
Ulsan technopark, ready to accommodate the facilities, has already ranked at the top in terms of biz-performance nationwide in 2019.
