Ulsan city and KOTRA Ulsan office to run an online trade counseling service for local SMEs
The city of Ulsan and KOTRA Ulsan office announced on Mar. 24 that both will run an online trade counseling service, targeting local SMEs. The program has initiated since last 2016, through which local SMEs can join virtual meetings to reach out to global buyers without necessarily going on a biz trip for in-person negotiations. Roughly 45 entrepreneurs enjoyed the service, reaching 68 separate deals valued at over USD 1.89 million.
The potential candidates to take part in the service is reportedly 30, two of them have already completed the session, and the rest 24 are now waiting for their turn.
The city government is helping local businesses, particularly those supposed to send a business delegation to the Middle East this March, make the best use of this digital platform as most of business activities have stalled due to the virus led travel bans.
Reviewing business feasibility study results submitted by each candidate, the authorities select potential participants then lead one-on-one videoconferencing. These selectees can visit the Ulsan office or can be in talks on the ground. Free translation service is also provided. For more information, please call ☎052-289-4652.
