According to Yonhap News,

The city of Ulsan announced on May 14 that the local authorities are looking for potential candidates to join a biz- support program, sponsored by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The MOTIE led program provides a comprehensive range of services at every step along the way for the transitional process to new technologies like future cars, which bring added value to the traditional models of locomotive engineering.

In the pursuit of the program, aiming to reaffirm its status as a mecca for auto industry in Korea, while taking the leadership role in the global future mobility technology, the city expects that nearly KRW 8.6 billion worth of budget is allocated by the end of April next year.
Ulsan technopark, Korea Industrial Compex Corporation and Ulsan University will jointly be in charge of the management.

The city rolled out an outline of service coverage, from product commercialization, prototype simulation, technology support, business support to HR training.
Those who wish to represent commercially viable technologies (applicable to electronics parts manufacturing) can be given cash grants up to KRW 100 million for each. For simulation service, the sponsors provide funds as much as KRW 30 million for the applicants, who try to test and perform their ideas.

Registration for the service is open until Jun. 8, and a seminar for the briefing is held on May 22, in Ulsan Technopark at the presence of key actors engaged for the project. For more information, please visit us.irpe.or.kr or www.utp.or.kr.
