Ulsan city to kick start forming Ulsan High Tech Valley by 2023

Beginning with a discussion for a settlement of damage claims, the city of Ulsan kick starts the second phase of the construction project to set up an Ulsan High Tech Valley industry cluster. With the budget of KRW 180.8 billion in total, the valley will be formed, sprawling across 1940,000㎡ near Ulju-gun. The construction has started in the year 2006, and comes to an end in 2023.

The cost for the second stage project totals KRW 131.8 billion and the facilities are established on a 576,000㎡ site by the end of 2023.

The cluster is reported to accommodate electric parts makers, electronic equipment producers, metal fabrication and processing business, and machinery manufacturers. The first step of the project has completed in February 2018 and the city is now waiting for tenants to move into. The third stage will be mainly orchestrated by Samsung SDI with the aim to put an end to the project by 2023.
