Ulju-gun in the city of Ulsan said on Mar 5 that the city government will make investments, adding up to KRW 2.92 billion, in four locally based companies seeking finance and loans to run business. The investees are knwon to be Poongwon, GPIndustry, EasyK and NHChemicals.
An early stage business, Poongwon founded in December 2020, will be funded to build out its manufacturing plant to produce auto-parts in Ulju-gun.
Another auto-parts maker, GPIndustry, which has started its business since January this year, will also establish its packaging factory.
EasyK, currently headquartered in Yangsan in South Gyeongsang Province, is planning to move in Ulju-gun and build out its production facility.
A chemical manufacturer, NHChemicals based in Ulju-gun, unveiled its office move plan to further enhance its production capacity. The company is reported to move within the community district.
The funds raised for these four investees total KRW 55.3 billion, and 65 new jobs are anticipated to be added.
The coverage of the investments extend to up to 10% of the cash grants. Each candidate is allowed to be financed as much as KRW 1 billion.
