According to Yonhap News,
At the presence of senior level city officials from both sides, the city of Ulsan in Korea has hosted a virtual meeting with Russia’s Saint Petersburg on Apr 1. Officials working for Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in the city of Saint Petersburg have also attended the online meeting, a venue to have an open conversation on inter-city cooperation and exchange programs.
Saint Petersburg is the largest industrial city that lies in northeast of Moscow and the biggest maritime transport and logistics hub being a gateway to the European continent. Korea’s flagship companies such as Hyundai Motors, Samsung Electronics, LG and 30 more have already expanded their market presence in the city.
“The bilateral meeting is fueling anticipation over the possibility of stronger inter-city partnership that can be formed in a variety of fields: industry, bio-healthcare, environment business, port development, tourism, academic research and event culture and art collaboration.” Said a city official.
