Ulsan city to host an investor pitch event by the end of June

Ulsan city has launched an investor pitch event by the end of June this year, a city official said on Apr 19. The event, co-hosted by Ulsan city and Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) was held particularly online to avoid possible in-person transactions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

Targeting approximately 20 companies interested in technologies of offshore floating wind turbines, hydrogen business and automobile components from four countries headquartered in Europe, the event provides a one-on-one business consulting sessions, starting with five Spanish businesses on Apr 19, followed by those based in France in May, the UK and the Netherlands in June one after another.

Ulsan city is planning to deliver pitch presentations introducing business infrastructure, investment incentives and the key industries that drive the future growth of the city such as renewable energy technologies and clean oil and gas development in North East Asia to investors, along with the municipal projects like the formation of UFEZ, Hightech Valley and KTX Ulsan station.

The city’s Q1 investments this year are reported to total USD73 million (based on the transactions notification) or USD 55 million (based on capital gains that arrived).
