Ulsan-si said on February 4 that it announced '2022 Hydrogen Electric Vehicle Distribution Project Plan' to stimulate distribution of eco-friendly vehicles and improve the atmospheric environment.

This year, the number of hydrogen vehicles to be rolled out is 200, with purchase subsidy of KRW 34 million per unit.

It is NEXO that will be distributed, a hydrogen fueled electric vehicle by Hyundai Motors.

The application period is from the date of announcement until the date of project budget exhaustion. Those eligible for application are an adult aged 18 or more and a corporation with address in Ulsan-si until a day prior to the application date.

A purchaser is not required to directly apply for subsidy to the City Hall, instead only need to submit necessary documents upon requesting vehicle purchase to Hyundai's branch.

Those who purchased a hydrogen electric vehicle and received subsidy are required to drive for 2 years. If he/she wants to discharge the car within the period for obligatory drive, he/she must obtain approval from the city in advance.
