Ulsan-si held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'High Functional Convergence Chemical Material Support Center' on March 22 in commemoration of Ulsan's Chemical Day.
Ulsan-si, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE), and Ulsan Techno Park are jointly promoting the project of 'High Functional Convergence Chemical Material Support Center' construction, with the total project cost of KRW 19.9 billion.
The completion of construction is scheduled for June 2023, with a total floor area of 2,898㎡ and 23 types of equipment.
The Center will be responsible for supporting companies through prototype production, test evaluation certification, and technical training, and fostering specialized manpower.
High-functional convergence chemical materials refer to: information and electronics materials such as semiconductors, displays, and electronic circuits, and ;mobility materials such as batteries for electric vehicle and high-functional coatings and films.
