Ulsan Port Authority (UPA) announced on June 16 that it had selected 4 companies to participate in the '2022 UPA K-Testbed', a project to support the demonstration of port infrastructure utilization.
UPA has been promoting the K-Testbed project, which supports demonstration-type test beds so that new technologies and prototypes owned by SMEs and startups can secure competitiveness and marketability, since last year.
Thanks to online marketing and pre-briefing session held for SMEs and startups across the country, more companies applied for. At last, 4 companies were selected after 1st document screening, followed by the 2nd presentation.
The areas of demonstration selected this time include application of AI-based container cargo distribution network platform, development of port crane safety detection system, on-site verification of LNG-powered ship bunkering hose reel, and realization of performance of AI port surroundings recognition technology.
The selected companies will signed the K-test bed demonstration contract with the UPA, and carry out demonstration activities for their new technologies and prototypes utilizing Ulsan Port's infrastructure.
UPA plans to actively support demonstration activities of participating companies' new technology and prototype to meet the purpose of the K-test bed project of 'strengthening the technology of domestic SMEs and startups by providing high-quality test beds'.
