According to Yonhap News,

On June 4, Ulsan-si announced that it has dispatched a delegation of five Ulsan-based bio companies to 'Bio USA 2024' to be held in San Diego, USA on June 3-6.

It was part of 'U-Bio Digital Healthcare Industry Global Support Project', promoted by Ulsan-si and the Ulsan National Indsitute of Science and Technology (UNIST).

The 32nd Bio USA 2024 is the world's largest bio exhibition attended by more than 20,000 participants from 80 countries on average every year.

This year, KOTRA and KoreaBio will operate the Korean Pavilion of the largest scale ever.

The city dispatched the delegation for the first time this year to help local bio companies learn the latest industry trends and have a chance to enter the global market through exchanges on site.

Five companies participating are Aging Lab, Proxihealthcare, BeElement, CasCure Therapeutics, and HHS, who will receive support in some participation and air flight fees.

The city will also hold a roundtable on June 6 with the delegation and five local bio companies to discuss know-how and difficulties in doing business in the US.

On June 7, it will have a meeting with Biocom, the largest bio-related association in the US, to promote Ulsan-si and introduce bio R&D capabilities of the UNIST.

A city official said, "when it comes to the bio industry, setting a global network is crucial for overseas expansion, such as clinical trials and FDA's approval," adding that "we will continue to encourage local companies to participate in the international events such as the 'Bio USA'.
