On June 12, Ulsan-si announced that it will dispatch a delegation to Europe to expand international cooperation in renewable energy and foster new future industries.

The delegation, headed by Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, will visit three countries including the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany on June 13-21.

The delegation has been planned to visit the headquarters of companies investing in Ulsan to discuss cooperation on renewable energy and investment and seek strategies to foster Ulsan's future new growth engines with a visit to a Battery Expo in Europe.

On June 14-16, the delegation will visit the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in Den Haag, the Netherlands, to discuss ways to cooperate in the new and renewable energy sector, and visit Rotterdam Distribution Center of the Busan Port Authority (BPA) to listen to the current status of operations and support measures for export companies.

On June 17-18, the delegation will visit Denmark to have discussion with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), the world's largest green energy investment management company, on continued investment cooperation and look around Middelgrunden, a world-class offshore wind farm.

It will also visit the Danish Energy Agency and the Royal Danish Opera to plan strategies for fostering offshore wind power and supporting policies, and expanding the cultural environment.

On June 19-21, the delegation will observe "The smarter E Europe", the largest energy expo in Europe, and the "InterBattery Europe" at Trade Fair Center Messe München in Germany.

The deputy mayor said, "with increasing importance of renewable energy and energy transition worldwide, the importance of international cooperation is increasing," adding that "we will actively support to accelerate renewable energy-based energy transition and attract investment in this field."
